Former Employee – worked at PwC full-time for less than a year
Pros – The people you meet!! Resume name recognition. The experience of working for a Big 4 accounting firm to see what it is all about. The benefits are great and PwC does invest in their people if you can stick it out.
Cons – The hours do get long in busy season. The work isn't challenging as a process specialist. If they offer a "Seasonal" position, do NOT take it. You can do better than that especially if you earned a masters degree. You will sacrifice too much on your end trying to get your foot in the door and prove yourself. The duties of the process specialist are outsourced overseas. The mentality of the Tampa, FL office is like a call center.
Advice to Senior Management – For the corporate office, nothing at all. PwC is one of the greatest places to work. However, I can not say the same for the Tampa, FL office. Learn to actually run a business and forecast the work correctly. The spoon fed business model doesn't make logical sense. Don't bring in all these intelligent, hard working people and use them up. Assets are leaving your building, not liabilities. Remember that!
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
