Pros

- 2 (3 if asked to stay for overtime) paid 15 min breaks, 1 hr lunch. Furthermore can take unlimited restroom breaks anytime needed.
- If asked to work overtime, food is provided almost 100% of the time, good food like Chili's, La Madeline, Black Eyed Peas, etc.
- Supervisors are very patient and always willing to help with any call, can easily escalate any call to a supervisor if you don't know the answer.
- Can request any # of days off for emergencies/job interviews/doctor visits etc.

Cons

Very rare to get promoted to permanent. 1 temp every 5+ years or so.

Advice to Management

Shouldn't choose to retain people past contract date based on favorites. People that worked hard and knew their stuff got extended along with people that didn't know the answer to basic questions as well as those who missed a lot of days of work/came to work late.

    Pros

You learn a lot and are exposed to many, many, tax rules. Your career has the potential to advance twice as fast as if you were in industry.

    Cons

You have to work a lot of hours in order to shine, your utilization (chargeable hours) is a tool people are always useing to compare themselves to each other. The result is peple trying to one-up each other and we all end up working a lot more. (PwC managemnt is genius for that!) It is not impossible to escape that game, but you have to be someone that id very, very, smart and whose technical skills are above and beyond. (So you gotta be 1 of 100.)

    Advice to Management

You dont need advice, you know what you are doing.

    Pros

    Big knowledge base
    Exposure to big clients

    Cons

    No work life balance
Raises and promotions are based on who you know regardless of their vaunted ARC process as each manager and sr manager/director are already branded as good and bad by partners and peers and their voice is weighted accordingly.
