I have been working at PwC as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The people really make the experience in public accounting. Being in a room for hours on end with people you enjoy makes working long hours a lot more enjoyable. PwC also has the best clients and are great about transferring you to a new client in a timely fashion as long as your a good performer.

Cons

Work life balance can be a challenge at time but it is definitely worth the experience you will gain at the best public accounting firm in the U.S.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work.

I have been working at PwC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good name to have on your resume, large firm

    Cons

-Pay is far below market especially when you consider the hours and expectations -Attitude of management and leadership conditioning employees to believe PwC is the very best -Firm operates as two separate entities essentially-assurance/tax and advisory. Culture is very divisional as advisory is given greater access to firm resources, and far greater pay and benefits

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The experience and ability to network and market yourself as an individual is very enticing. Work arrangements can be very flexible if you're not a consultant. A good name to put on your resume.

    Cons

Yearly reviews are very cutthroat. Every year they will find ways to nicely tell you to work more, yet they invest so much money into research to find ways to pay you the least amount you're worth. For such a large company with a very high income and even higher standards, salaries for people under Manager/Partner level should generally be higher.

    Advice to Management

You smile a lot and talk a good game, yet I very rarely feel like you actually want me as an employee. Treat others as the hard workers they are, rather than the marketing statistic you invest heavily in.
