Current Employee - Transactions Services Valuation Associate  in  Los Angeles, CA
Current Employee - Transactions Services Valuation Associate in Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at PwC full-time for more than a year

Pros

The LA office is very flexible - most people work from home on Fridays, even during busy season
Opportunities to take on additional responsibilities
Good group of associates/seniors in general

Cons

This group (valuations) is a dying group. The work is very heavy on the C1 (audit client) side
The directors are horrible people to work with
The partner does not know what's happening in the group
Lower levels of work mean no bonus for associates

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop driving out the top talent at the associate/senior level, you're only promoting middle talent and you're losing your best managers and directors. Stop promoting people only in July, and allow top performing second year associates the opportunity to be promoted if they've earned it.

Current Employee - Human Resources Specialist in Tampa, FL

I have been working at PwC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Health benefits and a few perks.

    Cons

Where do I begin? 1. It's all political. It didn't matter that I consistently had the highest metrics and performance, I was always rated poorly. Leadership hires and promotes their friends and yes men. Not the hard workers who actually know what they are doing. It's all fake. Smoke and mirrors. If you're a Sr. Associate expect to work 20-30 hrs of OT a week and your pay won't go up.
