Pros

PwC provides a great learning environment filled with many young smart working professionals. The idea of beginning work with 50 new hires in one's start class is always a nice thing.

Cons

Work life balance is really non-existent although it is advertised incessantly. However, prospective accountants should probably know what they are getting themself into.

Advice to Management

An increase in pay might be a good idea in order to retain your employees. Overall, great job in navigating through the recession.

    Pros

Not many pros, except if you get lucky you might be booked on a great client even though in all the years I have been here it has never happenned.

    Cons

You must be favored by a partner for promotion.
    Work life balance= none whatsoever
late nights and weekends is a norm

    Advice to Management

Come to the audit room and consulting room once in a while and implement the work life balance not just talk about it!

  2. Great at slogans, not so great at living up to them.

    Pros

    Brand recognition
    Exposure to global workforce

    Cons

    Shifting goals and project targets
    Overemphasis on expenses
Total lack of soft skills among managers
Takes people good at one thing and puts them into situations they are not good at, then they fail and management shakes its head in disbelief
Outsourcing majority of backoffice jobs out of the US to India

    Advice to Management

Instead of cutting at the bottom all the time, start looking at the upper levels for excess fat and lack of appropriate skills.
