    Program coordinator=Secretary and scapegoat

I have been working at QEK as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

It pays slightly more than Burger King. You fill out paperwork all day, so if you want to be a secretary, it's perfect.

    Cons

Salary is about 40% too low for the type of work required. Pay should be at least $20 an hour considering most positions require managing hundreds of vehicles, yet they only pay $13 to $14. This is for a job requiring you to be responsible for hundreds of vehicles which you almost never see or interact with. When a vehicle is missing/dirty/in someplace it's not supposed to be/some other issue it's all your fault (even though you've never even seen the vehicle). You're a secretary, and a low payed scapegoat, and not much else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For your abysmal salary and type of work required, instead of hiring knowledgeable, tenured Automotive people, why not hire people in their late teens who are just getting started in the Admin/Secretarial world? Being a vehicle coordinator (or so-called "program" coordinator) is secretarial work, period, and requires almost zero knowledge of vehicles. When something better comes along, those folks will leave you just like me....but at least your lousy job will be a step up for them, instead of the massive step down that it was for me.
