I have been working at QIAGEN full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Strong teams and a very positive working culture and attitude. Most managers are encouraging and opportunities are available for those who are willing. Q has a strong pipeline, strong products and very high brand value, which makes it motivating to work for the company and follow the overall vision.

    Cons

Segmentation in some areas don't make to much much sense and lead to internal struggles in the past.

I worked at QIAGEN full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

In Germany, QIAGEN has good benefits and it's a good "starter" company to get a little experience before moving on to a better employer. Friendly atmosphere, generally.

    Cons

High expectations in terms of overtime are not met by decent salaries. Very few career opportunities in any department. Poor internal communications, especially during changes and reorganizations. From 2011-2013, going through significant reorganizations, affecting morale and creating confusion. No sense of long-term plan beyond the next quarterly results. Many managers admit to having little or no management training.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
