Pros

Pay is good and benefits are excellent. Important work in that our job contributes to decent, safe and affordable housing.

Cons

Management lacks communication and execution skills. Favoritism seems to be the common theme when it comes to promoting. No pportunities to grow. Lack of community involvement. Managment does not motivate or reward employees for hard work.

Advice to Management

Management should improve their communication with employees. Employees should be rewarded more, even if just a simple thank you to show appreciation. Also, employees should be on a quaterly bonus structure.

    Pros

    Great people working on a great mission. The people that work at Quadel really care about affordable housing. Good opportunities to move up within the company. The company also valued work life balance and offered a strong benefit package.

    Cons

    When I first joined things were great. It was a great company in which to grow and get to work on different things. However, over my time there things started going downhill. Contracts were mismanaged and eventually lost, which led to financial troubles for the company. As a result there were multiple rounds of layoffs, elimination of 401(k) match, furloughs, no raises for multiple years and reduced bonuses. These actions really affected employee morale and coming to work was often depressing. Overall I think there was a lot of distrust in the competence of upper management. It's truly a shame that such a mission driven company is now being driven into the ground. The reputation of the company seems to be tarnished beyond repair.

    Advice to Management

    Someone should really look at the senior leadership and question why contracts were/are being lost.

    Pros

    There is opportunity to help the less fortunate.

    Cons

    Corporate management was decided on tenure not talent. This decision leaves the company in the hands of incompetent leadership. To make up for these short comings the management team demonstrates arrogance. If you decide to work for this company do not include performance incentive bonus's in your salary negotiations. This company does not pay out any where close to there promise.

    Advice to Management

    The board knows what they need to do. The big question is how much respect and money will they loose before they do it??
