Pros

Flexible in terms of work/life balance Location

Cons

Made up of acquisitions - not good for morale Years and years of layoffs has caused the morale of the organization to be very low. Employees are mostly negative and concerned about stability within the organization They have not found the right org structure to make the company successful Key leaders have recently left.

    Pros

Intelligent people, sharp CEO and quality programs for employees. Not all programs are executed well though because some managers seem pretty busy and they put those types of things on the back burner. Overall, it's a respectful environment and the old HR team (2009) seemed to get it.

    Cons

Company was acquired in 2010 and downsized some. There is some uncertainty in the environment about what that means and what the equity firm plans to do. There are too many products, so developers are spread too thin and some of the managers are a bit annoying. There are a lot of changes there and it's hard to know what's coming next.

    Advice to Management

Don't try to run too much like a large company, focus more on making things effective and less disruptive for people.

    Pros

You get paid on time that’s a good thing but often there are mistakes by the payroll department. That makes you nervous. You better keep track of your numbers / deductions every time. Benefits are OK, not really great. 401K was at 2% match (come on). Now it is at 4%. Medical employee share is higher as average age of the employee is high.

    Cons

This is a conglomerate company. They bought bunch of little companies / products and merged. Most of the times they did not do a good job in integration in product wise as well as employee wise. Most of the jobs are tech jobs as this is a software company. This is company of 550 full time employees (as of Jan 09). Every one is over loaded with work. No proper processes. Stepping on each other or pointing at each other. And there is this out sourcing thing. About 100 people work from India on software development / testing. Higher management seems to be very happy with their service. So, imagine where the future leads you to. The pay rise is a joke in the development wing. Come on way below the inflation. Their response: That’s how for across the company. You know that’s not true. There is no visibility and there is no direction. No focus. Most of the people work here wait to clock to tick 5:00 and wait for Friday since Monday. Ho many people knew that this company got de-listed from stock exchange and re-listed back after couple of years due to financial audit issues? The ticker got changed couple of time and you do not find the history. My sincere advice: If you need a job then take it. Negotiate the salary high before you join. But when you get a chance leave. I know people joined and left in a week.

    Advice to Management

Get real. Start caring about employees than yourself. Stop being hypocrite.
