I worked at QualCare full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I started in the late 90's as a Customer Service Representative when there were less than 40 employees. When I left I was a Supervisor of one of their departments. The company was great about promoting internally and providing an avenue to enhance skills.

    Cons

As the company grew,it became more political.

    I worked at QualCare

    Pros

    It paid (me) very well.

    Cons

I had a VP that randomly cursed out employees because it was Tuesday; two employees got in a shouting match on the floor and behind closed doors and management did nothing until another VP complained.

I wasn't trained on my job, just thrown into it then berated for how much they're paying me to do it while calling me incompetent (Even though I did the same job for another employer successfully for three years previously).

The numbers were all messed up; clients/owners viewed all QCI did as "nice but not what we're looking for", and QCI was losing clients and not signing up new ones. The business was stagnant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since CIGNA bought the company: replace all the VP management with CIGNA-trusted lieutenants who know 1) how to manage and lead employees and 2) are interested in growing the business instead of signing existing clients to longer contracts.
