Pros

Good work culture. Encourages innovation. Encourages you to bring up your new ideas which are always welcome and help you in innovating new things.

Cons

One should understand that it takes its own time to grow up in the ladder in qualcomm as promotions are not very quick they take time

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Intellectually very qualified co-workers A good chance of getting a pseudo-development cum testing job for beginners as even testing needs some amount of development to be done initially in many cases Flexible work hours Excellent office environment

    Cons

Mostly testing jobs for beginners though it might turn out to be more of development than of testing Hardly any research at Hyderabad office Not all teams are nice Lunch menu can be easily made multicuisine and with an improved taste

    Advice to Management

Do ensure that all the interns get interesting work to do. Some interns who joined with me for didn't get proper work for a long time which made their internship experience not as interesting as it could have been. Secondly, it would be great if some core research is done in India. I am sure Qualcomm will not find it difficult at all to recruit people for research jobs here. It will also increase the popularity and goodwill for the company among freshers.

Good for permanent employees and not for contract employees

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Qualcomm as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

-> Facilities would be of top class. -> You would be working for latest technologies. -> Exposure to wide range of technical material to improve your knowledge. -> Brand name to add weight to your CV.

    Cons

I have seen indian managers acting as puppets for US managers. They wont say a NO and so insecure to put their point. This makes employees working under them to accept what ever US guys say and work overtime to show more PRODUCTIVITY, which kills employees creativity.

    Advice to Management

Be strong when you want to put your point to US guys. Dont be bad to contract Employees. I have been for some time and the way managers used to address in the mail to contract employees was pathetic. This takes away the feeling of "MY COMPANY" from their conscience.
