Pros

There are really good benefits and a lot of great people to work with. The teams are usually very diverse and there are always good oportunities around.

Cons

The work can sometimes get quiet slow and boring, but you just need to keep looking for more interesting work that is around.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

They should allow some type of choice program so that new hires can choose which department they can go into.

    Pros

    Qualcomm is in the cutting edge of technology. You get to work in the latest technology and with a group of highly qualified people. They have lot of resources, giving employees access to wide variety of technical or market related information.

    Cons

    It is bit chaotic sometimes, not very smooth and organized for a large company. Lot of process can be improved to help people focus on work more and less on procedural aspects.

    Smart people around for discussions and are mostly friendly.
    Good work environment overall;

    Cons

    Compensation not comparable to competitors;
    Promotions are getting slower and slower;
    Career ladder is hard to climb as a mature company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Higher compensation to keep the current employee is necessary. The company is sitting on a pile of cash and should share the benefit among hardworking engineers.
