Pros

Excellent health benefits and compensation. Middle and lower level managers are competent and the six sigma program seems to be working well within the company.

Cons

extremely bureaucratic and politically motivated senior management. Some areas of spending are way out of control (facilities, corporate contracts). Future direction of the company seems to be up in the air without additional lab acquistions

Advice to ManagementAdvice

a lot of low hanging fruit when it comes to cost savings in spending (contracts, facilities etc)

    I have been working at Quest Diagnostics full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    A steady low-waged paycheck. Good partnerships with other companies like Verizon etc, so you can get a discount on your cell bill.

    Cons

    Low salary. Little if any, room for advancement or career development. Ambitious, self motivation, assertiveness, having initiative not accepted in a positive manner. Ideas and suggestions taken offensively instead of constructively. Get prepared for retaliation or getting black-balled.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get rid of the incompetent Senior Management currently sinking the company. Replace managers and supervisors, who have no idea how to manage or deal with employees listen to your employees.

    good pay
    lots of bonuses and incentives
    good training
    nice employees and managers
    comfortable setting

    Cons

    set hours
    low amount of days off before termination
    lots of stress, getting yelled at by customers constantly
    take over 100 calls daily
