I worked at Quicken Loans (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The isms - they are actually lessons to live by.

    Cons

There is no such thing as work/life balance at Quicken Loans and the micro-management is the worse I've ever seen.

Dan Gilbert takes things personally when you leave the organization and doesn't understand the QL is not the center of everyone's world.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great in building culture. Arrogance and "churn and burn" are the un-written isms.

I worked at Quicken Loans full-time

    Pros

Great people working as a team and awesome transparency through out company. Every position is well staffed and getting time off is no problem. Benefits are pretty good too. The work spaces are really fun for big office environments.

    Cons

They do expect you to work very hard. Lots of hours need to be put in but they are very understanding when you need time off. You will be held accountable for all you actions which is a good thing since everyone is. Usually higher level employees are given more difficult tasks and loose connection with their team but that is usually only for short periods of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your employees, the company has lots of room for advancement and sometimes employees have options in the company that would fit them better.
