Silos are apparent here and you will be overworked to the hilt with little or no recognition. No collaboration at all.

I have been working at Quintiles full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Company is the largest in its class in the world and has status.

    Cons

Vision from the top is not what it used to be. I don't like where we are headed, especially since we went public.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The EES surveys - are they for real?? Are the results even looked at for implementation?

I worked at Quintiles full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Unlimited sick leave and good benefits. Most employees are hard workers and knowledgeable.

    Cons

Quintiles leaves the utilization of perks (i.e work from home, flex schedules, work life balance issues) to management discretion. Therefore if you management changes and it will about every year or so, so does the rules and the administration of those rules. You could be allowed to work from home for 3yrs and all of a sudden it is no longer allowed. HR does not effectively manage dispute resolution or provide assistance or protection to employees even if you are a good worker and have been an employee for almost 10 yrs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quintiles is top heavy and needs more worker bees not executives. Executives are more concern with IPO than their true assets ... their employees.
