Qwest – “Both sides of the coin....”

Pros

Working at Qwest has been very interesting over the years. Been there now for 12 which is hard to believe. I have received TONS of training which I can take with me wherever I go which is super valuable. I have also had the chance to work with some seriously incredible managers that have taught me much about the industry, working as a team, leading and doing my job (product manager). I think the best part about my job is that I do have flexibility to work from home occasionally (I have two little ones) and flex time. Work/life balance is appreciated!

Cons

Corporate giant...enough said. There is just so much bureaucratical BS going on at that organization it is nuts. At one point we had over 10 different advertising agencies working for us. Talk about disparate communications. It is a little nuts to think we would even do that...and the money lost. I mean seriously. I was also very dismayed by the happening in the executive suite. Too many lawsuits to name and too many scandals to even discus. At the end of the day they are good people but could really use some conflict negotiation skills or team building something! Help.

Advice to Senior Management

I would say...grow up and start being nicer to each other.
