    Pros

You get to have Sundays off. You also get one other day off during the week.

    Cons

They've got a lot of people fooled. They offer a year-end bonus incentive but they fill the salesfloor with a pack of barracudas that nip at your customers' tails constantly the instant you turn your back. Management plays favorites to whether you're one of us or one of them. If they decide they don't like you, they'll allow others to steal your sales and won't do anything about it so you can't make your quota. One of their favorite tricks, if you're targeted for termination, is to single you out for a drug test in front of everyone. It's funny how anyone taking an RC Willey drug test fails it. (police take notice). If you're a bottom feeder with no scruples, you should find a welcome home at this company.

    Advice to Management

    None.

This company used to take care of their sales employees. Commission and bonuses were less and less each year.

I worked at R.C. Willey full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You work five days a week. Have 2 days off. Sundays closed. Paid vacation. 401k, Health insurance. They pay income twice a month. Employee purchase discounts available after a year. You are trained on product plenty. Can make good money some months.

    Cons

To meet your sales standards, you may have to work more than 5 days a week(company pressure). That causes contention on the sales floor. Promotion is VERY rare. Extra incentives were taken away so that RC Willey could get better buys from product companies. Corporate managers try very hard to impress the billionaire that owns RC Willey, by trimming and trimming money from employees etc. Health insurance is ONLY Catastrophic. It takes 3k-6k out of pocket before the insurance kicks in. There is plenty nepotism in RC Willey also. It's mostly in the corp offices. But, some store managers are managers because of family connections(nepotism). Open for ALL holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Where I worked for 13 years, there are too many meetings. Most meetings are useless and unproductive, some help. Had a 15-45 min meeting EVERY DAY before selling out on the sales floor. Not paid a penny for product trainings. Some trainings can take 1-5 hours of your time. They are mandatory. Extended warranty sales is VERY IMPORTANT to RC Willey. Its extra money that is used to pay your commissions. Warranty standards are HIGHLY enforced. GOOD LUCK if you work there. It is difficult to get established when you start. Turnover is worse than ever. Stores Managers don't have a clue quite often.

    Advice to Management

Help sales people make money. Do way more to help sales people to be happy, secure and positive. Take care of business rather than just walk around acting important and busy so you "earn" your income. Sales managers should be good sales people firstly, but most aren't. So, they become managers. So , there is a conflict there.
