I have been working at R/GA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

R/GA strikes a nice balance of company structure and internal chaos. This allows for lots of learning to happen within a supportive environment. If you can prove yourself and do good work, you will get put on the better projects and management will support you. There are so many things going on in so many different areas, that whatever your passion is, they should be able to find you a project that matches your interests

    Cons

The ramp up time. It takes a while to prove yourself at R/GA and a lot of good people leave because they get frustrated with the more mundane work they are doing.

The review process makes it very hard to get promoted anytime except March

    Pros

Incredibly smart and talented people to learn from and work with. Some great clients with interesting project opportunities. Though its big and established now, it still feels like a small company in some ways.

    Cons

Not a great work life balance (ie more work than life). As with most creative jobs, projects can sometimes be unorganized and chaotic.
