I have been working at R+L Carriers full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

The CEO is good. Company does some good work and charity and community service too. not very stressful environment and fair amount of learning

Cons

But IT work is bad. No control over process and most employees are dissatisfied with management's incompetence.Code quality is amazingly low.

Like they would listen.....

    I have been working at R+L Carriers part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good workers, we watch out for each other (have to), pay is ok for part timers.

    Cons

    Managers will lie right to your face, very little hours (to date anyway), disorganized, been there five years ZERO effort to improve shipment tracking/scanning ((ex: manager came to me "hey do you remember this skid it was on your truck, we cant find it, it cost $8K?" Me: "no, not really" we looked when this "skid" came through the system, IT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO! if it was that meaningful why did they wait 2 weeks to track me down??)), we have had scanners at our terminal since before I was there yet there are STILL terminals with 0 scan ability!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Replace the COO, CEO (BTY its not Larry anymore) and throw in the Directors and find someone who can run a company, is remotely concerned about is employees, because if labor is the number one cost in a company wouldn't that make it the number one investment is it was improved?
