    I worked at R. L. Polk

    Pros

Good benefits, good compensation, good management at the VP level, work/life balance was more than fair, company has improved processes and quality over the years

    Cons

Too many layoffs/restructurings/firings (in a good economy as well as bad), needs to be more innovative in a changing market, needs to work on altering their image of being old-fashioned and stodgy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees with more respect by not firing/laying off so frequently. Offering casual Friday won't make up for the bad feelings left behind from good people constantly being let go.

I have been working at R. L. Polk

    Pros

Decent people to work with, bright. Owner, S Polk seems to want to succeed but has pooor managers around him.

    Cons

Crappy Southfield location, poor upper managment. The wrong people seem to be in charge. Automotive industry is about done in the US and Polk has all eggs in that basket.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don not isolate yourself, listen to the ground level employees, stop playing corporate big wigs and roll-up the sleeves too...

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
