Pros

RAND has a very collegial atmosphere, with many opportunities to work on diverse projects and build your own research path as you meet other professionals from a wide array of disciplines, all working in the same building.

Cons

The main hub in Santa Monica is a great office, but the cost of living and traffic are worth considering if seeking a job there.

    Pros

    Nice blend of corporate and academic/research environment. Very professional culture. Location of Santa Monica office is amazing. Big cubicles. Opportunities to grow if you are bright and dedicated and connected

    Cons

    Computing infrastructure tends to be a bit behind the times because of security concerns. No onsite gym. Cost-based budget model can be frustrating and confusing.
