    Pros

Generally nice work environment, building, gym, cafeteria. Benefits are good. There is reasonable room to advance, but it is all on you to do it, don't expect anyone to take an interest in your career.

    Cons

Aligning with Citizens and having shared functions is a mistake. One is a retail bank in RI, the other more associated with NY. Pay, work style, management approach is totally different. Bonuses are a thing of the past. They are really focused on reducing employee costs (salary). It was not uncommon to hear of a really good employee who was there a long time let go out of the blue just to reduce costs and be replaced by a junior person. Moral is way down. The threat of layoffs hangs over everyone so the worst in people come out in competing with each other.
