Pros

The lack of bureaucracy and relaxed management style is refreshing. I feel like they value smart, hardworking, and focused people. Everyone is very client focused and that is positive. They are trying to get more formal training and better internal communication, so that is postivie.

Cons

It is a growing company so there is some infrastructure to be built. Then again, I hope it doesn't create too much red tape.

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, Allowed to take time off for family events. Mid management and lower level employees are nice people who are fun to work with.

    Cons

Owners are very cheap and provide poor benefits and wages. Poor communication from management. Perception of most employees is owners only care about making money and increasing personel wealth versus building a successfull, dynamic company that employees are proud to work for.

    Advice to Management

This is no longer a small company. The economy is getting better and your going to start losing valuable employees who contribute to the bottom line. In addition managers need to be allowed to have budgets instead of having to have the majority owner approve every purchase over $100.

RCO is all about the bottom line, their employees are disposable and not valued.

    Pros

After you leave RCO, you may possibly have a negative experience elsewhere, but it will pale in comparison to your sufferings at RCO.

    Cons

Cheap, cheap, cheap. Disregarding the underpayment of their employees, think of sharing one very old microwave with 100 other people on the floor. Yes, just one.Their perspective: If you are an attorney, you are valued, until you decide to quit that is. If you are a paralegal, you are almost worth talking to, if you are a legal assistant, forget it. They won't even notice you.

    Advice to Management

You are out of touch with the employees that have assisted in building your firm. Buying bagels and cream cheese on Friday mornings isn't enough to show appreciation to your employees. Treat them with respect and value their contribution. Pay them a competitive wage and understand that you could not do what you do, without them.
