I worked at RE/MAX as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well appointed offices; easy to bring clients in for consults. Active in-house training programs.

    Cons

Slow pay; will withhold your commission split for inconsequential contract items, like a missing address on a form that is signed by all parties; all while making interest on the whole commission. All the industry related fees and signs you have to pay for more than offset the increased commission percentage they pay.

  2. Good for agents, less so for franchisees
