Comfortably numb is how I spent much of my 20 years with this company

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Kent, WA

I worked at REI full-time for more than 10 years

ProsFantastic people to work with, company that promotes very strong values and lives them through the business.

ConsLack of decisive leadership, very slow to adopt change and take the best ideas from new employees and incorporate, compensation is average and tiresome, slow career path due to lack of movement in management, poor accountability structure

Advice to Senior ManagementLeverage new employees skills and ideas quickly into organization, don't over democratize decision-making, encourage more risk-taking, enforce accountability and let go resources who don't perform well over time.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
