I have been working at RGB Spectrum full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

People in all departments had good attitude, friendly and also very professional. When times are good, there was a year end bonus. In general, management was very rational about expectations and direction. Sufficient procedures to keep things organized with useful results.

    Cons

CEO tends to frequently change directions and intermittently micro-manage. Much of management effort is running interference. I can understand need to break through the fog of management layers and assert control, but a better method needs to be developed. I recommend actual conversations, not hallway ambushes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Once you have grown into additional product lines, being seen as pulling back from them is risky. Narrowing the focus in hard times can be useful, but you should never be seen as panicking. Just as banks do not want to loan to businesses that actually need the money, customers do not want to buy from companies seen as 'damaged'.
