Former Employee - Account Administrator in Auburn Hills, MI
Former Employee - Account Administrator in Auburn Hills, MI

I worked at RGIS full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Flexibility to take lunch anytime. Friendly staff

Cons

If operating in the field or managing those that are operating in the field, stress level is high. Although job on the inside of HQ is cushy, administration seems to not care to listen to the input of the average employee.

I have been working at RGIS full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Get paid for travel time, put up in hotels on the company's money, have weekends, holidays, and evenings off. Also get a Per Diem for each night we stay in the hotels. Also get to go to places I wouldn't otherwise see on my own.

    Cons

Have to travel, have to count a certain number of pieces per hour in order to stay employed. Have to start really early in the morning. Doesn't work too well if you're not a morning person.

Current Employee - Team Leader in Dayton, OH

I have been working at RGIS part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Some good supervisors and managers. Make your own hours. Valuable supervisory and customer service experience gained as a team leader. Worked with some very good, generous people

    Cons

You don't know what condition the stores will be in until you get there, which can greatly affect the length of the inventories. Procedures are not always very good and not checked over by district management. Very much dependent on the quality of individuals rather than an overall corporate culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

National account people need to ask for feedback directly from Inventory Supervisors about procedures and inventory process more often.
