I worked at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - good salary with respect to the job market
    - lots of support tools and resources for teaching
    - ok medical benefits

    Cons

    - ideology of students as "clients" and professors as "customer service providers" seriously affect the stand and respect for faculty
    - few minority faculty make it throught he system; hiring numbers are up but tenure and retention are low
-intense quarter system,...plus some times different course sections (with different course number) are assigned to the same classroom, so the faculty ends up teaching more sections than originally planned

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
