RadioShack Store Manager San Antonio TX:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Beats unemployment, but not by much. Honestly, my employees can make more money in the fast food industry and so can I. The fact that RadioShack will hire absolutely ANYBODY who can pass a criminal background check.

Cons

Intolerable work hours, very low pay, shifting bonus requirements, a baffling merit system to determine who gets the most profitable stores, a personnel turnover rate that is nothing short of disgusting, inventory stock levels that are consistently below the levels needed even to support the current sale period, Having to learn so much for this job only to have it not reflected in some form of agressive compensation.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay more! Let the store manager manage the store. Reinstate a 5 day work week.

The Board of directors should axe Mr Day....He has not done what he claimed he could do. We need to get back to the good ole days of being a respected retailer not the company that Jay Leno can joke about....
