RadioShack – “OK for making a few dollars but dont expect to make a decent off them...”

Pros

Have a chance to meet some great people(customers, other sales associates). Great for people that love to socialize and have fun.

Cons

Can be very competitive and cutthroat(depending on who you work with and the store's location). Pay sucks, used to be decent a few years ago but they have a new compensation plan since they started making more money, it (guess what?) gives more money to the company and less money to the employees(ie, less commission and less benefits/incentives to sell products). Though, I'm sure the mangers are happy.

Advice to Senior Management

Try to focus more on the customer instead of YOUR bottom line. Another thing, we(the sales team) cannot just force someone to buy a product that they do not want/need, so do not try to belittle us because the bottom line wasn't met.
