I have been working at Rady Children's Hospital full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Only Children's Hospital in the area.

    Cons

Impossible to change anything! Practices are outdated, equipment is outdated and there is never enough. Understaffed. Hospital does not provide enough support for parents.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train managers, support change, support new ideas and purchase enough equipment to allow us to do our jobs!

I worked at Rady Children's Hospital full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Wonderful doctors and nurses, superior patent care

    Cons

Grossly understaffed in support areas. Remaining employees are expected to do the work of 3 or 4 people. Management has good ideas but unrealistic timelines. Morale can be very low in some departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to the employees who are assigned to DO the work. Those are the people who can help set deadlines more realistically.
