Former Employee - Lecturer in New Delhi (India)

I worked at Raffles Education Corp full-time for more than a year

Pros

Good working conditions at first sight, but so many challenges.
Working with students is irreplaceable experience

Cons

Extremely bad and incompetent management (Academic, HR, General). A lots of politics, you can get fired in a matter of seconds if somebody doesn't like your face (case with many of my colleagues. Academic director got this position in a very suspicious way without having any teaching experience prior to that one (even though in her biography is stated differently).
People are constantly threatened, manipulated and asked to do secretary jobs on daily basis.
And yes, if they want to get rid of employers the management will make sure to scare them and to take the most possible money from their salary. It happened in ALL cases. It doesn't matter if people are getting fired or they resign. Don't count on your last salary!
Moreover, the salary is very low comparing to the daily amount of stress at work.
In 2 years working there I don't know that anybody was satisfied.
Just find yourself another job!!

I worked at Raffles Education Corp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Doing great stuff for students with minimum resources. Staff works extremely hard to ensure the students have successful careers.

    Cons

    - Purely focused on profit at the expense of standards, students; unfair treatment of staff and students.
    - Salaries are terrible in Singapore, basically almost a factory worker mentality.
    - Lecturers are disposable. Mediocre program directors fire staff to hide their ignorance and protect themselves.
    - Constantly change staff to keep low salaries.
    - Management needs to be replaced. Staff leave as a result of senior management verbal & economical abuse.
    - No training or career opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire all your program directors and get real industry leaders. Respect your local/foreign staff and provide training to increase quality
