Pros

Changes in upper management priorities gives us reason to look ahead toward future growth. Resources are being allocated to improve the property and employee benefits.

Cons

Changes can be slow in coming. Not currently competitive in terms of salary or benefits.

I worked at Ramada Inn part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

At times the relaxed atmosphere was a nice break from the bustle of life. Was nice to work with the coworkers.

    Cons

Didn't have a well set up training program.
Management was very disconnected and would make changes without knowing the current situations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work with your employees to find out what is actually most necessary to be changed. Communicating with them will make changes easier on everyone.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Ramada Inn as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of locations in most large cities! Some associations are good for employees but only if the employees are willing to pay for it themselves. All properties use one of three or four Property Management Companies. This makes employees with experience more valuable when relocating.

    Cons

One of over a dozen separate flags (hotel chains) that use common suppliers, marketing, vendors. It's like a Amway Pyramid with the corporation keeping your commissions! Contracts are a one way street - from your pocket to their bank accounts!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice if they actually helped their franchisees! The amount of paper work that is required is almost a full time job. Corporate has to bring real assistance to the small business owners that are their customers.
