Editorial and Publicity Intern (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Random House as an intern for less than a year

Prosworking at RH was one of the best working experiences I've ever had (and I have many internships under my belt). I worked with amazing people in the editorial and publicity department. I was trusted and didn't have someone looking over my shoulder at every second but I was never left with any unanswered questions. My supervisor took me under her wing and introduced me to the different areas in publishing that helped me broaden my horizons. She actually took the time to teach me things. I was allowed to sit it on meetings and given numerous projects to work on. I felt like I was a member of the team and making an actual difference. One of the most positive working experiences I've ever had. I was also pregnant during this time and my supervisors were extremely understanding when I simply couldn't make it to work anymore and had to cut my internship short.

ConsThe only downside was that it was an unpaid internship. But the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
