I worked at Randstad Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Not much to say here except for flex time; it's easy to just meet your call goals and sneak out early..nobody watches to see if your're actually working.

Cons

Poor management, poor CRM and other tools, slow internet connectivity and even senior recruiters are just 9-5 'ers and are not passionate about thier jobs. Bunch of young, entiltled brats they bring in and the pay is sub standard to what other company's offer. There is also a lot of in-fighting, even on the same team; mostly the left overs from when it was Think Resources. They make promises to upgrade tools to make them better, but never deliver and commision structure is designed to where you feasibly could only make $80,000/YR total comp after working as hard as you can. Management also tends to favor people who have been there longer when deciding who gets an account (good ole boy mentality.

I have been working at Randstad Engineering full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They do have flex time, but people take advantage of that and leave when there is still work to be done.

    Cons

Low-ball base salary and not competitive for account managers with 10+ years experience. If you are new to the industry, don't expect to make more than $35,000/yr base and while the commission plan is okay, your realistic annual gross income is around $65,000....a lot of back stabbing over accounts and preferential treatment to people who were there when it was Think Resources. It has become a "corporate nightmare"...look elsewhere if you want to succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more base salary, you are woefully behind with salaries paid since the recovery from 2009. The cost of living has gone up and $45K base for a seasoned veteran is laughable and not enough to motivate me to get out of bed every morning.....$50-$55K is a liveable base..even with commissions

    I worked at Randstad Engineering

    Pros

Once a "mom and pop" sole proprietorship, under new management at Randstad they have started the change to a world class organization.

    Cons

Change has been slow and there are some in management who seem reluctant to abandon the old ways. But they are on the right path, if they can stay the course.
