Rapid retirement creates future opportunitities for young motivated engineers (must be motivated!). Technical staff is motivated to culture talent. Many development programs exist. Company is focused on retaining talent. Many different locations across US and internationally. Company has a solid foundation and is poised to be a leader. Stable employement.

Cons

Big company makes upward accelleration somewhat restricted. Some lazy employees are too comfortable and lack motivation. Security clearances can mean most exciting work will be a couple years away for new hires. Easy to fall into the trap of not working hard as raises are pretty consistent despite performance.

Advice to Senior Management

Force the young talent to take roles of responsibility. Make sure new hires are challenged.
