Former Employee - Software Engineer in Falls Church, VA

I worked at Raytheon full-time (more than a year)

Pros

My hours were pretty flexible.
Was compensated for over-time as straight-time, but it was better than nothing. (had to be approved though)

Cons

The ex-military management, raking in large amounts of money, do very little meaningful work. They are hired as contacts, and yet they become your boss.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use your hard-working and smarter in-house employees for middle and upper management. Introducing a new manager every few weeks, that has just started, is bad for productivity and morale.

    Pros

You will be able to work on exciting projects and for those of you that are motivated opportunities abound.

    Cons

Sometimes buricratic and can be hard to enact change (as with any company). Security can get in the way of efficiency, flexibility, and ultimately progress.
