    Pros

In general they respect the employees. Everyone that I worked with got along and all worked together to make a success. They encourage employee development and emphasize ethics.

    Cons

Reviews only differentiate employees when supervision/management intends to take some kind of action on them in the near future. (Intended promotion or warning to improve performance.) This results in poorly performing employees being retained for many years and good ones being let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Involve supervisors in layoff decisionis.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Up front about expectations. Pay is okay. Benefits can be expensive. Fitness facility is great.

    Cons

It's easy to get pigeon-holed into doing the same thing over and over . Can be very cliquey depending on leadership. Lack of training opportunities. Difficult to get ahead.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's too easy to ruin someone's career by giving them a bad review. Need an appeals board of some kind to prevent this.
