I have been working at Raytheon

Pros

Large company with a variety of opportunities for advancement. Ability to move fairly easily between sites and business areas. Great benefits package and fair compensation.

Cons

Because it is a large company you often have to take your career development into your own hands. Sometimes there are disconnects between program and functional managment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to better coordinate skills of various groups within the organization so that the best suited people can chase new pursuits and steamline execution on existing programs.

    Pros

There was good Job security and I was fairly compensated compared to other electrical engineers with the same work experience.

    Cons

There was a ceiling if you were to stay technical same with most companies. It is not a place to work to get rich but a palce to work to be comfortable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Generally, Raytheon does a good job with management. The right things are told tot he employees however some thigns are withheld which is faily common.
