    Pros

    The company is somewhat flexible.

    Cons

Management is back stabbing. Dog eat dog. Let me pick and choose names to lay people off...as long as it's not one of the buddy boys.

    Advice to Management

What would Jesus do? Walk the walk.

Life at another big defense contractor: not bad, but not really great.

    Pros

Technical and other staff are outstanding, with very few exceptions.
Some of the work is interesting and worthwhile, but not nearly on the same level as major ICT or medical/pharma companies.

    Cons

Raytheon is a pure government defense contractor, carrying all of the baggage that implies. That also means is that Raytheon is in a declining industry.
Also, most management is VERY near-term focused.
Management is working hard to reduce the average age of the workforce, which can limit prospects for mid-career employees.

    Advice to Management

Be more honest, let people know where they stand and where the business is really going.
