Pros

Great team atmosphere. Great benefits and perks.. Salary is comparable to other companies. Most people there are goal oriented.

Cons

A lot of work but very rewarding. Not a lot of negative things to say about working here. Job stability is good but not great.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great engineering staff in place.

    Cons

Became driven by market, and did not invest in future capabilities.
Job became frustrating and personnel became dis-enfranchised.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to your engineering roots, invest in future products and capabilities, and practice what is preached (ethics and values).

I worked at Raytheon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and advancement opportunities. Can have an excellent work environment. A variety of challenging work and opportunities to learn new things.

    Cons

My work was in Module Spares Depot Repair. Upper management often doesn't recognize how it is different from manufacturing. They send in managers from the east coast for positions in depot repair and they judge everything from their experience and education in manufacturing and everybody suffers for it. And so does the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When an Officer or senior manager promises a promotion or work opportunity, there needs to be a mechanism to maintain continuity of that promise through changes in management.
