Provides decent and competitive salary. Exposed to the advance technology that you cannot get from small-medium size company. You'll feel proud that you work with that big organization.

I worked at Raytheon full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people, stimulating work, genuine passion for quality and value

    Cons

Defense industry is still 70% of the portfolio and even though the business is well positioned in the market, neglect of this legitimate function of the federal government has forced business restructuring and downsizing. The company is way past using reduction in force to eliminate dead wood and is forced to eliminate excellent performers. Good performance evaluations are no guarantee of longevity with the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay the course. Remain true to ethics. Stay in touch with the good workers you have lost (invite me to the picnic like a retiree). Remember that this too shall pass.
