Raytheon – “Raytheon IIS”

Pros

Nice work environment, good people, and surprisingly good lower/middle mgmt. in some areas. Its a nice place to work if you prefer to stay in the comfort zone and want a flexible 9-5 job.

Cons

Too much dead weight at top and bottom labor grades. Too many people at the middle experience level ( 5-10)leaving the company because of lack of opportunities. Also, the division has lost its technology focus and is slowly becoming an IT job shop.

Advice to Senior Management

Value talent over process. Seek out and nurture the creative talent within the organization. You can spot them by critically reading performance reviews. Keep them at the company as they are rare and give you an edge over the competition. Mangers will covet such people for their own benefit and not let them flourish within the company.
