I have been working at Raytheon full-time for more than a year

Pros

There are policies in place that are mutually beneficial to employees and employer.
The benefits and salary are competitive with the market.
Employees truly believe that "Customer success is our mission" and I do as well.

Cons

Challenges include some of the many managers, very top-heavy. Many changes--however, not unlike other A&D companies.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be transparent and results-oriented. Shorten the hiring process. Thin the management herd.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pretty good benefit package and flexible work schedule are two of the positives. Training opportunities exist but vary by department.

    Cons

Transitioning from an hourly to a salaried position is a difficult process. It is easier to hire in as a salaried employee than to do an internal transfer.

Get ready to work 90+ hours in a single week and get paid for forty.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Raytheon pays pretty well in terms of your annual salary; however, you have to work so many uncompensated hours that the hourly wage isn't very good.

    Cons

The work/life balance is terrible. Some people have been required to work as much as 97 hours in a single week. If you have a complaint, HR automatically and reflexively sides with upper management against the lower level employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give the low-level IIS employees back their profit sharing. Don't dismiss or retaliate against employees who bring forward an issue. Pay employees for their overtime.
