Pros

If you are not very technically sound but like to punch numbers into a spreadsheet and create mind numbing processes, then you could be a part of senior management

Cons

Raytheon goes through upper managers so fast, it's hard to know what direction the company is going. I can't remember the last time Raytheon won a significant contract at the Aurora site. It almost appears as if they are willing to let this branch go which makes no sense to the employees that have worked their for years.

    Pros

Depending on the group you work for you may have the option of a 9/80 work week. You work 10 hours Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday and every other Friday off. The work can be stimulating at times, I was lucky enough to test and trouble shoot systems sent back from the feild

    Cons

There were weeks when I have nothing to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep people busy especially if they are only going to be there for a few months

    No opinion of CEO

Former Employee - Senior Computer Systems Technologist I in Saint Louis, MO

    Pros

Vacation; you start off with ample PTO (Paid-Time-Off) before you actually earn it. You get 10 Federal Holidays PLUS 2 floating holidays to use. The pay and benefits are great and depending on location the PTO also includes 10 duty-days off during the Christmas/New Year time. They have an excellent furlough policy/process

    Cons

In the STL area - Raytheon had a SMALL presence - BUT they have a HUGE presence elsewhere in the US and overseas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quarterly or semi-annual meetings either in person or VTC.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO
