I have been working at Reading Health System full-time for more than a year

Pros

The health system provides excellent care and their benefits provided to employees is out of this world. Very generous tuition reimbursement, pto and holidays

Cons

The organization needs to start from scratch and revise the various teams and committees as well as the hierarchy. The on boarding process is painful and leaves one struggling with the pieces needed to manage effectively. The system has been going through many changes over the last two years and they are definitely headed in the right direction but still long way to go

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the managers and allow them to lead. They know their units. Do not micro manage employees and communicate effectively with subordinates in order to motivate. Intimidation by few senior leadership does not work with most people

I have been working at Reading Health System full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many good people work at the hospotal or for the Medical Group

    Cons

SOOOOOOOOO many politics between divisions, departments, personalities. It is a minefield.
High drama and backstabbing. Control freak managers, who are secretive and don't really manage.
    Lot's of contradiction and secrecy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow the hell up and stop treating your employees like they don't matter. THEY are the ones taking care of your patients.
