The absolute worst company and the worst boss I ever worked for

I worked at RealPage full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Absolutely none to share other than the few people who were genuinely nice and helpful. Some activities were fun. The often catered food and monthly birthday cakes were nice.

Cons

Company strives for mediocrity and then celebrates it.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Very high turnover.
Very critical and abusive managers who often throw their employees under the bus, and openly criticize employees to others (management and peers) behind their back therefore leading to rumors and negative feelings among peers and creating an atmosphere of distrust and hostility.
Total lack of interdepartmental cooperation and communication. Job expectations not commensurate with salary.
HR is a big joke and totally pro management. Don't look to them for help.
Benefits and PTO are severely lacking.

    Pros

The benefits are Ok, the pay is average, and you can get up to 3% raise if you do a good job
Stable company, i only seen 1 small round of lay offs in 3 years

    Cons

Micro management in some organizations, it was so bad that within a year, half the team staff left the company, and the other half were actively looking.
I know several groups/organizations that suffered the same problem
Some organizations were better managed, like OpsTechnology, YieldStar and Leasing and rent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire good people, and allow them to do their job!

    Management loves playing favorites
You may find yourself going to the doctors more to treat your anxiety or depression
    Catty women, sleazy male management
Oh yeah! And NO WORK LIFE BALANCE

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your heads out of your ..... and start paying attention to your dedicated hardworking employees & show them some appreciation! Do you even wonder why people who have been with RealPage for 10+ years are finally leaving??? Quit being cheap & pay your employees what they deserve! Hire more people instead of giving one person work that should be handled by 5 people (a team). Give your employees their lives back!
