    Pros

Free wine bar. A few talented engineers here and there.

    Cons

A former employee of Rearden I stumbled onto this company on glassdor, read a few reviews and realized that nothing has changed in the last few years... So I figured that I had to through my experience in the mix of reviews to keep the big picture clear.

There was no clearly defined strategy. Company kept changing direction and jumped from one product to another. Internal policies were soaked with politics. Communication between groups was a total mess. A hiring round would only indicate that layoffs only a few months away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None.

    Pros

A few good people, though most are leaving. Good office location. No office dress code.

    Cons

Packed office. No advancement opportunities. None of the promises made during my initial interview came true. There have been only lay offs (3 rounds), restructuring, partners leaving, and further consolidation during my time here. The best people are leaving in packs. The good employees that remain spend their days looking out their windows or staring blankly at their computers wishing they were working somewhere else while management makes poor decisions behind closed doors. If that's what you're looking for in a company, then look no further.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask your employees questions. Learn who you're working with and what their skills are. This means one on one conversations, not vague assumptions. And don't be offended by constructive criticism from a "subordinate" so long as it's done tastefully - listen and you might learn something.
