Great environment & people, but meager pay & no real opp for advancement. Good for those fresh from college.

    Pros

Management tries very hard to make it a fun working environment, and they often succeed. The relationships you create there are awesome and you keep them long after you leave.

    Cons

You get stuck without realizing it. You should plan on leaving within 2 years after getting some experience under your belt. The pay is typical to a startup.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ed Kim was a great CEO, you should have kept him around and not entertained ideas of selling. It broke down the entire team.

Red Bricks Media has a fun culture and smart people, but lacks the vision and resources to be a successful agency.

I worked at Red Bricks Media

    Pros

The culture is really fun - weekly happy hours, quarterly offsites (wine tasting, baseball games, etc.). The people are incredible - really smart, fun, funny and wonderful to work with. The work schedule is also fairly flexible with opportunities to work from home or remotely.

    Cons

Little communication from senior management about what is really going on with the company. Male dominated executive team. Typical agency attitude of meeting clients' needs regardless of the cost or time involved; projects are often underpaid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Solicit feedback from employees more often and actually LISTEN.
