Very clickish unprofessional and disappointing environment

Current Employee - Senior Manager in Raleigh, NC
Current Employee - Senior Manager in Raleigh, NC

I have been working at Red Hat full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

It says a lot when the only Pro I can come up with is free snacks. The pay can be generous albeit short lived.

    Cons

Management is able to go rouge. No polices in place to protect employees from a bad manager. Take "Right to Work State" too literally with no respect for employee well being. People tend to "disapper" not a positive work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at your attrition and retention. You are not the only game in town, be more respectfull of the talent.

Current Contractor - Anonymous Contractor in Raleigh, NC
Current Contractor - Anonymous Contractor in Raleigh, NC

I have been working at Red Hat as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Team effort and the promotion of it.
Perks - free snacks, dinrks, breakfast
Freedom - No management breathing down your neck. No punching a clock. No babysitting.
    Strong personalities
    Ownership
    Family Friendly

    Cons

Strong personalities - I place this as both pro and con, because strong personalities can go either way:
Some are too confident to realize their mistakes.
Some are so confident they are in a position they don't seem to be qualified for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work!
